I would like to request an enhancement to the mastodon posting features.
In my time using mastodon, I found that the federated network (fediverse) is actually very good at self policing and self moderating content for the most part. This is because if users post say NSFW images or appaling content without a warning often, you can be de-federated and some servers can block your content from their feeds.
With that, I noticed that when creating a post using Mixpost I am unable to mark my media as sensitive, or provide content warnings. Similarly, the selection of posting language is relevant because it is used by Mastodon to identify if a message can be translated and instances that have translation support can then give the end user the option to translate the post
This is where those options exist within mastodon (Mark sensitive, CW, and the EN is the language picker)
That said, in mix post, even if I elect to create a version for mastodon specifically, these options are not available unfortunately
I believe the best solution here will be to allow the original post to behave as it does now, generic posting without this customization, but if a post does need this, can we make it so that when we create a platform specific post, these features become available?
thank you for your consideration!
