What due diligence is done on the projects in this list?

Since IOHK are calling this list "essential" and projects are using their inclusion on this list in their marketing to evidence the credibility of their projects, are IOHK doing any due diligence on these projects to ensure they are legit and credible? If you are then that would be really useful information, if you are not that should be clearly stated too so that scammers can't use this as a badge of honour and so that IOHK can avoid any liability...

I may be wrong but looking at the really short timelines from PR to merging, it seems unlikely that any DD is done unless this was well in advance of the PR, please can you clarify?
