Hi,

First, thanks a lot for your contribution.
I am using the document "Demographic-symptom".
Could you explain why scores intervalls are between [0;5] for qids_appetite_score when each symptom score should be between [0;3] ?

(cf https://dumas.ccsd.cnrs.fr/dumas-01878669/document, page 38). "The final score for QIDS-SR16 is from 0 to 27. It is obtained by adding the scores of each of the 9 symptoms of DSM5 (major depressive episode).16 items are written to describe the 9 symptoms: 4 items are used to define the disorderssleep, 2 items define psychomotor disorders and 4 items define disorders appetite and weight. Each of the six other symptoms corresponds to one item only. Each item is scored from 0 to 3. For each symptom that requires more than one item, only the highest score is counted."

Best regards,

Nassima

Hi @nassimabeddar good question! I'm not sure why it's different for the appetite score. We obtained this Demographics_symptoms.csv dataset from our collaborators at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research. Perhaps @brett-mckinney can help you find the answer to this.

I am not yet sure why the range of qids_appetite_score is >3 in the csv. I believe our collaborators used the clinical version of qids, not the SR, and there are additional appetite questions, so perhaps these were included, resulting in a range >3. That is speculation at this point. Again, we did not use qids in our analysis, but I am curious to understand the discrepancy. I will let you know if I get additional clarification from our clinical collaborators. Thank you.
