import open3d results in undefined symbol: _Py_ZeroStruct #488

Thanks for notifying the issue. Did you build Open3D from source or install it via pip? If installed via pip, I would recommend build from source for now. We are preparing a fix for pip install. |

Compiling from source against anaconda seems to work. |
Our pip package wasn't compiled with python3.6. Now we support python 2.7, 3.5 and 3.6, with pip/conda # Inside pip virtualenv
pip install open3d-python
# Inside conda virtualenv
conda install -c open3d-admin open3d
# Inside conda virtualenv
pip install open3d-python |
Hi guys, I am so sorry to bother you all with this problem it is already solved, but I found the same problem, I was working pretty well with my installation of Open3d through normal pip and conda but now it happens again this problem. Could any of you give a clue? I know the solution is doing the installation again by source, but I wanna know if we will encounter this problem always. (IBy the way, have an ubuntu xenial) |

I had the same issue and I solved it by uninstalling open3d-python and installing open3d using a conda channel, instead.
