In my opinion the list would look much better if it was using single style of shield.

It can be done with: http://shields.io/#styles

Can you describe where you'd like this to be done, @Kubuxu? I'm not following.

They could be used to have same shields from Travis and Circle and might be used for checkmarks.

@RichardLitt the build status images from travis and circle are different. I believe the suggestion is to unify on one set of images. http://shields.io/#styles shows the URLs to make that work.
