inability to use multiple profiles

For some reason the browser that I use on my desktop pc (2020.11 Win10 x64) I can control the profiles to my liking but on my laptop in a fresh installation (reinstallation of win10 and the browser in the latest version 2020.11 x64) the only thing that I let it do is name it and change the icon but it has no practical effect on the functionality of the browser.

I don't know if the screenshots help anything but I pass them just in case.
