After imkdir, I can remove the empty collection with irm -r.

I would be less nervous to run a more unix-like irmdir, because then I don't have to check the collection is empty before deleting it.

If you did implement irmdir, then it would also be nice to have the -p option to chase up multiple levels of emptiness.
