As Linux is a free unix-like multi-user operating system, which is based on the Linux kernel and substantially on GNU software. Especially on servers and embedded computing Linux has become the standard.
We use Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) as distribution and receive help in case of errors or failures via support contracts. The city of Munich uses Linux on 75% of its servers.
