The Chrome team is contemplating standardizing and shipping an async local storage API with the browser. In fact, it would be layered on top of IndexedDB, in a similar way to idb-keyval. You can see the proposal repository at https://github.com/domenic/async-local-storage.
Given your experience building and supporting this project, we'd love your input on the async local storage proposal. If we were to build things into the browser, what's the ideal API? In particular, we have a number of open API design issues that could use community input.
