Ok, I upgraded ruby to 1.8.7 and puppet 2.7.14 (latest) the irc stuff
is working. Yea!

I tried to enable the gist stuff, but now it's not happy again. I'm
getting this:

Report processor failed: A JSON text must at least contain two octets!

[root@puppet puppet]# cat /etc/puppet/irc.yaml

:irc_server: 'irc://puppetbot:password@irc.blah.com:6667#puppet'

:irc_password: 'password'

:irc_ssl: false
:github_user: 'scumola'
:github_token: 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'

Okay looks like GitHub changed their API. Let me test a few ideas.

It's fixed in the lastest release.
