Tested with Gandi Provider in both case it seems that external-dns & letsencrypt have differents ways of adding records.

  • external-dns is creating a new zone version
  • letencrypt is creating a new zone file

Under the hood i think this is linked to the fact that 2 differents Go Packages are used for interconnecting with Gandi.

It seems that running both stacks at the same time will results in an unpredictable DNS entries setup.
