Probably the main blocker for App to be available in Nextcloud 21 is that it still requires a PHP version lower than or equal to 7.4, and does not support PHP 8.

From a comment from @sunjam in #280 (comment)_ this support was added and then rolled back. It would be nice to be able to use the OCR also in Nextcloud 21 with PHP 8, as that is the upgrade path recommended by Nextcloud, so as people upgrade, migrate or do clean installs of Nextcloud 21, likely more people would need the app supporting PHP 8 (if they want to use it).

+1 Since Nextcloud docker is based on PHP8. So the plugin is currently blocked on docker version of NC21+.
