When playing an amazon prime video I always get a green screen with some rapidly changing blocks on the top of the screen. I have this issue for all amazon prime videos. I only have the issue when playing amazon prime videos not for any other videos.

I have fixed this through changing the KODI settings as follows:

Under Kodi Settings/Player: enable expert mode.
Under menu Videos assure that Allow hardware accellaration - OMXplayer is disabled.

Apparently a similar issue is reported for the netflix plug-in which is fixed by asciidisco/plugin.video.netflix#657
