The django-redis project is looking for new maintainers and has agreed to pass the project to Jazzband. See here for the discussion: jazzband/django-redis#400

If there is any action required beyond what is described below, please let me know and I'll do what I can form my end. I have commit access to the django-redis repository.

Viability

The django-redis project is well beyond a proof of concept. It is widely used by the community. The oldest PyPI release dates back to Nov 7, 2011.

Using pypinfo, here are the download statistics from PyPI:

Documentation

Documentation exists at http://niwinz.github.io/django-redis/ this can be updated to follow Jazzband guidelines and moved to read the docs.

If updating the sate of the docs should be done prior to moving, please let me know and I'll make it happen.

Hi @jdufresne, that's a good match, and fits our guidelines well.

@niwinz I suggest to join the Jazzband via https://jazzband.co/join and transfer the repo using GitHub's regular repo transfer feature. Once transferred, a ticket with TODOs along the lines of the things @jdufresne wrote down above will automatically be opened.

Please make sure to have read and understood the Jazzband guidelines and FAQ. And don't hesitate to let me know if you have any question.
