Within Matrix, 404 pages end up with potentially problematic links because the asset ID resolver isn't invoked. In the case of say a linked CSS/JS file, the problem is because relative links inside that CSS won't resolve when loaded against the raw ./?a=12345 URL.

Status: resolved at https://squizmap.squiz.net/matrix/9529; needs 5.3.x patch or 5.4
