I think this option really causes confusion because every time I save this goes to top.

This is a proposal, I believe it will get better.

What version of OS X are you running? In some of the versions like <= 10.9.4, I think it worked more or less with no complete jumping. I'm pretty sure it's also messed up in Yosemite now, but I think Atom has been changing their cursor and editor APIs, so I'll look at it again over the weekend to see if we can fix it.

Oh really, I have never tested it on Windows. I might need to check some stuff out on your computer, because I don't have access to one. I'll let you know what I find though, because I think the issue in Mac is the same as in Windows.

@brunobatista I think the scrolling is actually the biggest issue, because when I turn it off, the only issue is that the cursor isn't exactly where it was before.

@brunobatista I started an issue on the Atom repository, but there hasn't been enough momentum to get the feature implemented. If you'd like to see better scrolling functionality, feel free to help make my case stronger or share it with your friends or even just +1 it. I'm hoping that it gets implemented very soon because JSFormat could be a lot better just by improving the scrolling.
