Logging / Error handling

Logging and error reporting should be easy and intuitive. A decision needs made as to whether this belongs on the server or as a resolver. It would be easy to add a segment resolver, but annoying to then have to place it in each config.

Whatever the solution, it should be configurable, optional, and not increase API complexity.
