Closing this bug for now as UniFi still lacks official Buster support due to requiring MongoDB and Java versions that are not present in the Buster repos.

Attempting to install unifi on Debian 10 gives the following:

○ → sudo apt install unifi
[sudo] password for judah:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
unifi : Depends: mongodb-server (>= 2.4.10) but it is not installable or
mongodb-10gen (>= 2.4.14) but it is not installable or
mongodb-org-server (>= 2.6.0) but it is not installable
Depends: mongodb-server (< 1:3.6.0) but it is not installable or
mongodb-10gen (< 3.6.0) but it is not installable or
mongodb-org-server (< 3.6.0) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

This indicates that unifi requires a MongoDB version between 2.4.14 and 3.6.0. Older standalone MongoDB builds can be found here, and repo installation instructions here.

Unfortunately, both fail on Debian 10 due to a libssl version dependency that cannot be satisfied. Per MongoDB support, this happens when one is attempting to install a MongoDB version or using a MongDB repo that does not match the host OS.

It appears, therefore, that this problem is intractable without creating a FrankenDebian that could lead to worse problems in the future.
