Currently we have 3 branches which reflect different images. It is really hard to maintain, especially if we want to add Windows images & Co. https://github.com/jenkinsci/docker-slave has been already migrated to the flat structure, and we should do the same here.

Acceptance criteria:

  • All images are merged into a single branch with different Dockerfile suffixes reflecting the configuration
  • DockerHub autobuilds are updated to the new structure (if we do not move to Trusted CI first)
  • Documentation is fixed in README to reflect the current structure
