Oandbackup makes incomplete backups if using builtin Busybox (and no warning)

When I start a planned or batch backup, Oandbackup will happily backup the first few apps, and then silently hang. (I aborted it after 36 hours). There is no warning message before kicking off the backup.

However, as soon as I install the static Busybox module available for Magisk, Oandbackup breezes through the backup and completes it.

The logfile shows the same messages in both cases, except that with the builtin Busybox, the last few entries are hours apart and then completely cease. Clearly, whatever Busybox replacement is built into Oandbackup, is not working reliably.

Update: After the first few runs, backups don't complete anymore with the external busybox, either. I have split up backups into several custom lists as a workaround.

I have exact same problem. Manually and scheduled backups hang on certain apps. I wanted to replace Titanium backup, because it is proprietary and shows some drawbacks in latest versions. But oandbackup doesn't seem to be stable for production use, yet.

Example for apps that did not finish: dict.cc, firefox, nextcloud client

I am using encryption with openKeychain as key provider.
