To make cropgui work with Fedora where Pillow replaces Image, one has to use

 from PIL import Image

This is also the case with recent versions of openSUSE. I am running openSUSE 13.2 and cropgui stopped working after a recent system update that automatically removed the python-imaging package and replaced it with python-Pillow.
