Type inference for batch operations

Right now, batch operations like batchGet do not provide type inference, and simply resolve to any. Will this be supported in the future, or is there an underlying technical reason as to why this is not the case?

My team relies on batch operations extensively in our scheduled workloads, and not having type safety for these operations is a big reason why we haven't migrated to DynamoDB Toolbox yet.
