Camera stops taking pictures #1

The app stops taking pictures after a while, a reboot causes it to start working again.
Ideally no reboot should be needed.

I'm suspicious this may be hardware related. I've checked the logs and Pi after this has happened, and nothing of note. The camera just stops taking pictures and times out every time raspistill is run.

The other night, I tried implementing an MMAL based library, and I still had issues with it freezing. Going to order and try an official raspberry pi camera.
