Vertical Minimal Menu - If I enter the movies sub menu and choose an item lower in the submenu (ex. Recently added), after navigating around the movies and backspacing out to the main menu, Movies is no longer in focus, instead the menu item in the position of the lower item (ex. Recently added) is highlighted, in my case, Add-ons.

Also, is it possible to return to the menu with only a back arrow on the main menu item? Now its kinda all over the place, even more if you move through the menus: https://ibb.co/hKCEwQ
No, this isn't fixed yet. It now moves 1 place up from what you've selected. So if you open the 3rd submenu item, you end up on 2 main menu items lower, etc.
