Pasting a clipboard (or any copied) image into the outgoing message

Image pasting works fine with GV on an android phone, but not on this desktop GV app. Any hope?

Not likely. It's been on my wish list for years, but as I understand it, this is basically a wrapper for the website so we can re-theme it with CSS and have it run as an app. So basically whatever the browser has for functionality it has. No pasting in the browser means we're stuck uploading an image and attaching it still until Google adds it. Some people have had luck using some helper apps to automatically save the clipboard as an image and upload it, then attach it, but I'm on linux and it seemed too finicky to work well.

I won't hold my breath for Google to add paste functionality to the browser. It's too bad they haven't/won't....not enough mainstream people complaining.
