Hello,

I have downloaded the FS-Modern-Squirrel pages and have mostly been very successful using the new layout. I am having a few issues with the Discussions/Announcements functionality, however:

  • I receive the following error when I preview the Discussions_Home page "Liquid error undefined method `paginate' for nil:NilClass".
  • From the portal home page, when I click on Announcements, nothing happens.

I believe that I might be missing some pages (or they are new to the portal). I did not find any code for Discussions_category_home, Topic_list, My_Topics, topic_view, or New_topic.

This is all new to me, so any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi @rmccrckn -

My apologies for the year + delay! I just wanted to leave this response in case anyone else runs into this moving forward...

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to our company's Freshservice portal so I cannot do any updating/testing for you on this matter. I learned everything I learned by reading the documentation for FreshThemes so I'm hoping that can be useful to you as well!

The issue is definitely related to the fact that the Discussions homepage was not around when I built this theme, though I cannot speak to the announcements link. Perhaps some of the HTML was stepped on with some of the customizations you made, is my first thought.

Again, my apologies for the delay - I moved away from my role with this about 3 years ago. Hopefully you were able to figure something out!

~JR
