It seems that there is compatibility issue with Tampermonkey (and Greasemonky?) according to @a23bed:
version 2019.9.18 keeps coming back with “Proper edit note missing.” when it definitely is there, what ever length it is. Then In tampermonkey when I set the logging level to “Debug” it worked.

On Windows 10 Vivaldi, I have installed Tampermonkey version 4.18.1 and could not reproduce this bug with script version 2022.11.30.
