I am trying to use Pandoc to generate a LaTeX document out of Markdown based text file. One of my text files starts with UTF-8 BOM immediately followed by first heading. Pandoc pastes the UTF-8 BOM together with the heading and pdfLaTeX then complains about ! Package inputenc Error: Unicode char \u8: not set up for use with LaTeX..

I believe this was addressed with #743.
