Translating Latex .tex into .epub 2 now (latest pandoc V3.1.12) creates these new errors:

(tested with 'epubcheck')

`ERROR(RSC-005): book.epub/EPUB/content.opf(2,105): Validierungsfehler: Attribut "xml:lang" ist an diesem Element nicht erlaubt. Erlaubt ist nur das Attribut "id" oder "unique-identifier"

ERROR(RSC-005): book.epub/EPUB/content.opf(10,36): Validierungsfehler: Dem Element "meta" fehlt das erforderliche "content" Attribut

ERROR(RSC-005): book.epub/EPUB/content.opf(10,43): Validierungsfehler: Text ist an dieser Stelle nicht erlaubt. Erwartet wird das Element-Ende-Tag`

The img alt Error has vanished, unfortunately these new errors now occur…

(using epub3 creates other errors… but still errors… so it's not a solution either to switch to epub3)
