The installation directory is "C:\Program Files (x86)\MultiBit-0.5.14".
Unable to load blockchain "C:\Users\Bruno\AppData\Roaming\MultiBit\multibit.spvchain". The error was "org.jboss.netty.channel.ChannelException Failed to create a selector.".

Its syncroning for hours and nothing.

This does seem to be a bug so it would be helpful if you could mail your log file (multibit.log - stored in the log directory 'next' to your wallet) to support@multibit.org. If you put the issue number in (#324) in the email titel it helps me keep track.

To get access to your bitcoin I suggest exporting your private keys and putting them into blockchain.info.
There is a how-to in the help here:

Hey guys, I solved this problem on windows 7 64bit I had the same problem. Just change compability settings: "Run this program in compability mode for Windows XP SP3". And also check the box "Run this program as an administrator". It helped me

If anyone else can confirm this as a solution, I'd be happy to update the website help to reflect this.

OK, updated the website installer guide to include a "Common gotchas" section for Windows. Thanks to all who contributed :-)

So there's some kind of security / firewall issue? From bitcointalk, it sounds like this can occur when Windows Firewall blocks an app. Could someone test this theory and see if it's true? I wonder if we can detect this kind of blockage and pop up a message asking the user to authorise MultiBit for internet access.

MultiBit HD provides feedback to the user in the absence of a working network connection.
