Generated invalid address '1FYMZEHnszCHKTBdFZ2DLrUuk3dGwYKQxh' #403
Comments
Are you saying that you clicked the New button and it randomly came up with the 1FYMZE... address? That is extraordinarily unlikely. MultiBit will not generate an address without a corresponding private key. If you don't have the private key then you don't control the funds. |
Yes I do export private key, just use functionally 2 December and deleted,
|
Can you explain step by step what you did? What you are describing is very confusing. |
I wrote to you on email |
For the public record, @shangri has encountered a situation where a non-viable Bitcoin address has been generated. We are looking in to how this address could have been generated within MultiBit. |
I need to leave this open until we have a definitive answer as to why this occurred. |
Nothing in the code gives a clue as to why this address was generated so closing. |
