Found this helpful patch to get mwifiex issues resolved: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109681 , along with latest marvel firmware at http://git.marvell.com/?p=mwifiex-firmware.git;a=summary .

Thanks!

Thanks.

There is talk in the bugzilla entry that the latest firmware alone might be all that is required, and not any driver patches. Now that 4.6 is in jessie-backports I am giving this a try over the next few days and will get back to you on my milleage. Thanks

For me, wifi finally got stable yesterday when I checked out commit edadd0e from Linus kernel development repository. (I needed to apply this patch to get it to compile:
oprofile.diff.gz.)

The commit contains patches from Amitkumar Karwar from this summer.
