FR: rename markdown attachments

This has been requested a few times on the forum (see screenshot for example) so I thought it was worth putting here. It'd be incredibly useful if Zotfile could rename MD attachments in the same way it handles pdf attachments.

Add md to the "Only work with the following filetypes" preference in the "Advanced Settings". See #517.

Thanks very much for this! I’d love it if md files could be renamed without being moved. Is it possible to rename files but disable the moving? Even better, it’d be incredible if pdf files pdf files could be renamed & moved to the folder designated in the settings, but for md files to be renamed only (not moved).

Is it possible to rename files but disable the moving?

You could use Zotero's renaming function for that, see here.
