Thanks. I wonder why #855 from a year ago was not reviewed and merged, as it looks similar to (but cleaner than) than my draft code. |

LSP 3.16 supports a window.showDocument request from the server to the client that causes the client to open a URL, either using an external browser (similar to the open(1) or xdg-open(1) command), or internally within the text editor, in which case the server may optionally indicate a range to select.
I'd like to add support for this to eglot since I plan to use it in gopls, Go's LSP server. Should I just send a PR?
The code below is a very rough sketch of what is involved.
