sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, this needs a little more tweaking, but it's cool when it works. Also, this can use a choice of what status is said, most people usually want to know if the print is done or at what percent is it done.

Just ideas and suggestions.

Thanks @varek3d, can you check you Alexa App to see what your Amazon Echo devices thinks you are saying? You can find this in the Alexa App under Settings > Alexa Privacy > Review Voice History. If it's correctly hearing "My Three D Print Server" and still not working please let me know.

I struggled a lot with the required Invocation Phrase, it has to be more than one word (i.e. it cannot be "Octovox") and I wanted it to be something that Alexa could easily transcribe but also made sense when requesting info, so "Ask My Three D Print Server for my printer status" was sort of the pattern I settled on.

As far as the other questions, I'm posting a comment in Issue #5 with some updates to an upcoming V2 release.

I'm going to go ahead and close this since I've deployed V2 with new phrases for "How Much Time is Left"? and "What is my Temperature?" As well as the full Status update response.

If you continue to have issues please log a new Github Issue with more details. Thanks!

@varek3d, the Alexa App should have been automatically updated when the update went live last Thursday, Oct 3rd. So the phrases "Ask my three d print server for temperature" and "Ask my three d print server how much time is left" should now work on Alexa.

If you're using Google Home/Google Assistant it will go live this week since with my current workflow that runs a little behind the Alexa deployments.

As far as notification, I'm definitely going to try to leverage Alexa notifications in a future release. In the meantime I use the OctoPod plugin to get push notifications for job status alerts.
