Undo and Redo memory always clearing if i switch view mode from Code to Tree and vice versa.

Ah, I understand what you mean. Load a document, make a change switch to an other mode, then you can't undo/redo anymore. The reason is that the document is loaded again when switching mode. It's really a different editor that's being loaded.

I have to think about whether there are ways to preserve the history somehow.

Yes it is not trivial to solve it, but really userful.
