What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. select a file for upload
2. select one of those photos
3. click Edit

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

It would be nice if the description contained text from the IPTC comment
field, if one is present.

Instead, it contains dfo-generated spam:
 Uploaded through <a href='http://code.google.com/p/dfo'>Desktop Flickr
Organizer</a>.
which I then have to delete. Worse than nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.7+svn45-1 on Debian lenny

Thanks for an excellent application! As a somewhat related addition to this
ticket,
it would be great to also have it use the IPTC keywords to fill in the tags.

These two issues are what is keeping me from having an efficient work process
when
uploading new images to flickr and keeping my collection organized.

That would be really helpful.

If possible, title, description and tags (keywords) should be taken
from EXIF/IPTC tags. It should also be possible to specify
a default description and a default tag set somewhere.

 thanks fr this nice program!

I have access to the tags through other programs, I just don't want to have to
manually copy them when uploading to Flickr. Postr gets it right, so I use that
instead of dfo.

But postr couldn't downloading your photos. I search for an application who can
up-
and download my whole stuff and tag them nicely via IPTC and/or exif during it.
And
this means tagging during uploading- but during downloading, too (if not
allready
tagged in the metadata-fields).
So dfo would fit if it could tag uploaded and downloaded content, too...
flickr.com/groups/flickrhacks/discuss/72157606754430516/ is annoying, none of
them
work as needed... Migratr does it but downloaded only about the halve of the
photos...
