What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable the application,
2. Enable 'Only Using BT Headset',
3. Use the phone when not connected to a BT headset.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect not to see the notification bar icon, because the application is not
active. But it appears anyway.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.4 on Android 2.1.

Please provide any additional information below.
I use the application in my car, where the car dock counts as a BT headset and
then I don't need to push any button to answer calls. But when not in the car,
I do want to be able to choose whether to answer calls or not, so I enabled the
'Only Using BT Headset' option. But now the notification bar icon always shows,
even though most of the time the application's functionality is not active.

I wrote a patch to fix this issue. Please apply it to the application code.

Perhaps when the app is enabled, the notification bar icon can stay as is.
When connected to a bluetooth headset, it could turn blue.
When connected to a wired headset it could turn green, or some other colour.

Please consider adding an option for hiding the notification when it is not
active (e.g. when "Only Using BT Headset" is active but BT is not connected).

The fact that the notification icon always shows creates clutter in my
notification zone, and I would like it to be as clean as possible, without
disabling AutoAnswer completely.

I believe this app is now obsolete, as auto-answering functionality is now
built into the OS. I know 2.3 has it, but I am unsure of earlier versions.
Can anyone confirm?

Settings > Call Settings > All Calls > Answering call > Automatic Answering

Unfortunately, I don't see it on my Nexus S with Cyanogenmod 7.1.0.1 (based on
Android 2.3.7).

Thunderbolt 2.3.4 does not have auto answer built in.
Depends on the phone manufacture ,some phones work, some phones crash

I put a shout out in xda developers forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324435

Personally I'm dragging my feet on 2.3.4 gingerbread because app will crash
