I use Morfessor format to process the compound lists which is GPL licensed http://users.ics.aalto.fi/mcreutz/papers/Creutz05tr.pdf

Ah, ok. And there is no good alternative?

Did you use this perl code: http://www.cis.hut.fi/projects/morpho/ ?

An alternative would be http://diotavelli.net/files/ba-tmarek.pdf

Using WFST would be a plus, but Python code had to be ported to Java.
