So take the existing ID from the configuration file or ask the user for their old one.

Great idea. Saves having to run the Piaware script post install, sudo piaware-config feeder-id xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxx .

Will be part of a revamped backup script which will handle RRD file backups properly. Shouldn't have to worry about resetting the ID by simply upgrading things but inorder to know for sure I have to wait for the next PiAware update.

I haven't had any issue with doing a simple upgrade using the same card, but if re-imaging a brand new card, that is when it happens, so something during the install would be good. :)
