As you can see from the piled up list of Issues and Pull Requests, I am no longer maintaining this project. I'd like to apologize for the neglect—I hadn't visited the repo in a long time, and didn't realize what a vibrant community existed.

I've recently moved the project from my person account to a new jQuery Backstretch organization, and would like to find folks interested in furthering the plugin's development. If that's something you'd like to do, please comment below.

Thanks,
Scott

Just got notified via email you might need some help with the plugin. It has been several years since I used the plugin, but I'm happy to help provide support.

Can probably commit 4-5 hours every month.

What do you think help with is needed most?

First we need to clean up all PRs that are irrelevant, since the merge from danielgindi/jquery-backstretch,
then we really need to clean up the issues. 99% of them are probably irrelevant anymore.

Hey. I used backstretch a while ago and I really like it. Any ways I can implement it in a React web app?

I have tried to follow the docs and did pull the js files from the index.html before the end tag of body of the react app but it doesn't show the background..

This lib is based on the JQuery library. In order to do the same in React there is probably a need for a heavy rewrite.
