Why is the contact page so broad? #11
Comments
Because they are methods of contacting the team for specific types of issues. I don't want people finding their way to this page (which is the top google result for "contact jQuery team") and then sending bug reports on Twitter, etc. |
Would it make sense to add a contact page on either jquery.com, jquery.org, or contribute.jquery.org and link to that from the Press & Contact page? Something like "If you'd like to contact us about non-press-related items, check our full contact page for more information." It just seems strange to have the canonical contact info on our branding site. |
arguably this would make more sense as a page on jquery.org than brand.jquery.org |
Should the whole page move or just the non-press stuff? If just the non-press stuff, we should probably cross-link on both pages. Just let me know which way you'd like it done and I'll update it this week. |
This discussion was left unresolved. Would be good to see it through and resolve it. |
We should see this through. |
Closing per jquery/jquery.com#237, in which we merged https://brand.jquery.org/press-contact/ into https://jquery.com/support/, with a redirect in place. |
Why does the Press & Contact page mention things like IRC channels and bug trackers?
