Wow! this coach is goood. I would keep this first graph and from it create a smaller graph focusing on Tierney and his closest rivals. I would do something similar to what Shannon did in her prisoner story (I can't find it on github but you can ask her to show it to you). In the smaller graph you could add more info about the 3 or 4 coaches you are comparing and that way we would have a bit more info about why Tierney is better (for example what you mentioned about him winning the most something hahah I am so bad with sports).

Since people are not generally very familiar with lacrosse, maybe you could give more context to the reader (about the rest of coaches, for instance). Also getting rid of the grid would make your scatter plot clearer, I think. Maybe you could also limit your comparison to the coaches that have a similar record, like same years coaching, etc.

I think including percentage of what and using 80% instead of .80, etc will be helpful labeling. Maybe too if you decide to identify other coaches having more information like their name, team, years coaching, and nat'l titles might enrich the graphic a little more.
