Please excuse me if it isn't an appropriate place for questions: haven't found any community place.

I have noticed json4s adds scala-compiler jar (13 MB) as dependency to zip generated by sbt native packager. Why the compiler takes place among runtime deps?

Thanks for the ref! It's real and absolute show stopper for me also. I guess this information can be placed at the beginning of the README file.
