Not seeing gunicorn app

after running docker-compose up -d --force-recreate all I see is the generic nginx homepage when I pull up http://localhost/ in the browser on the host

I know the networking between the containers is working fine though. If I open a shell with the nginx container docker exec -ti flasknginxgunicorndockersample_server_1 bash and try to curl web:8000 I get a valid response from gunicorn though
