Hi.

You should download .deb package from:

https://launchpad.net/~mdeguzis/+archive/ubuntu/libregeek/+build/13585652

  1. Unpack package
  2. Unpack control.tar.gz
  3. Edit file control
Package: antimicro
Version: 2.23~zesty-2
Architecture: amd64
Maintainer: SteamOS-Tools Signing Key <mdeguzis@gmail.com>
Installed-Size: 3602
Depends: libsdl2-2.0-0, libqt5network5, libqt5widgets5
Section: utils
Priority: optional
Homepage: https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro
Description: Antimicro is a graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad
This program is useful for playing PC games using a gamepad that do not have any form of built-in
 gamepad support. However, you can use this program to control any desktop application with a gamepad;
on Linux, this means that your system has to be running an X environment in order to run this program.
 .
This program is currently supported under various Linux distributions, Windows (Vista and later), and
FreeBSD. At the time of writing this, antimicro works in Windows XP but, since Windows XP is no longer
supported, running the program in Windows XP will not be officially supported. However, efforts will
be made to not intentionally break compatibility with Windows XP.
 .
Also, FreeBSD support will be minimal for now. I don't use BSD on a daily basis so the main support
for FreeBSD is being offered by Anton. He has graciously made a port of antimicro for FreeBSD that you
can find at the following URL: http://www.freshports.org/x11/antimicro/.
  1. Build a new package
  2. Drink a beer

if i purge/uninstall/remove/clean antimicro from my system, and re-download the current master zip from juliagoda and re-build / re-install it... will my "sudo apt show antimicro" still show "zesty 2.23~zesty" and "steamsos-tools" and homepage "antimicro/antimicro" ?

apt-cache policy anitimicro

One important question:
How do you build antimicro? via make && sudo make install or via build a .deb package?
If via make && sudo make install , apt "doesn't see" yours antimicro and still show infos from ppa repository. You should build a own package.

im building via "make" using master from juliagoda... i now purged everything related to antimicro from my machine, also removed old ppa from antimicro. and im about to rebuild with "make" using master from juliagoda...

did apt return info because i build and make "on top" of an old installation from old ppa?

Please remove antimicro ppa from sources.list and try again "apt show antimicro". OK :)?
