There are lots of different kinds of measures, as well as extensions like signed measures. How should these be organized?

Current idea is to use traits for this, since this allows introducing new types after the fact

Good progress on this. We'll aim to keep things as simple as possible, make sure Distributions is directly usable, and make static reasoning as easy as possible.
