That example is going to confuse people who do not have Drill installed. I think it might work if you moved to the end of the "getting started" and provide more explanation/context. Assume that your audience knows nothing.

I do agree that explaining why semi-colons have to be quoted in bash is useful, as long as you have that context. And by the way, the same goes for spaces and single-quotes in the connect string.
