For i3wm users who wish to launch fzf with a keybinding and then do stuff with fzf's output

Here is a simple way to do it:

In your i3 config:

# Fuzzy finder
set $launch_fzf 'fzf --layout=reverse --bind "enter:execute-silent(nohup ~/.config/i3/scripts/fzf-output-handler.py {} >> /tmp/nohup.out)+abort"'

# Keybinding to launch fzf (choose any keybinding you like)
bindsym $mod+f exec --no-startup-id alacritty --class FZF -e bash -c $launch_fzf

# Make the resulting terminal window float
for_window [class="FZF"] floating enable

After that, we simply have to write the fzf-output-handler.py script and put it inside ~/.config/i3/scripts (or wherever you like)

I want to run fzf in a script file which I trigger by an i3 keybinding.
This line

printf '%s' "$g_prefixes" | fzf -f 'git'

fails if I trigger it with the keybinding, but works as expected when I directly execute the file in terminal!

I'm almost pulling my hair!
