Want to check for accidentally deleted files #5331

I mistakenly deleted some things from my Jupyter Notebook page, thinking it would simply remove them from the Jupyter page. I read a previous thread where they should be in the Trash but in some cases are permanently deleted. Where should I look for the deleted files.

I am using Jupyter Version 6.0.3 and am on a Mac

I would have only deleted something from the Jupyter landing page with Desktop/Pictures etc.
Didn't delete my desktop or anything from it, just want to make sure I'm not missing anything I may have deleted from the first directory
